And heeeeeere we go....
After a bidding auction between three publishers, I'm pleased to have signed yesterday with Adrian Zackheim at Penguin Portfolio. Portfolio will publish my first book "The Back of the Napkin: Solving Problems with Pictures" in early 2008.
Huge thanks to my agent Ted Weinstein for making it happen.
I've been working on the book for the past 6 months and have completed an abbreviated "Cliff Notes"-style version of the whole thing, as well as several chapters. Now all that remains is to write and illustrate the rest.
That's all?! Gee... only 264 pages and 123 pictures to go.
Congratulations! Let me know when the manuscript is ready and I can show it to my Japanese publisher to see if they would be interested in publishing a Japanese version.

Congrats Dan! Your book looks fascinating. I can't say enough good things about the folks at Portfolio. They're my publisher too. My book, "The Corporate Blogging Book," will be published on Thursday August 3rd.

Congratulations. As a management consultant (in a former life), I'm sure your subject matter will have huge applications for all powerpoint junkies (myself included).
