I've long followed the work of Adaptive Path of San Francisco. A group of superb interaction designers, they've not only come up with powerful online tools (unless I'm mistaken, I believe co-founder Jesse James Garrett coined the term "AJAX"), they also run the best set of interaction design seminars anywhere.
So I was truly honored when Roland Smart at Adaptive Path invited me to give a talk about napkin pictures and problem solving in their offices next Tuesday, Sept. 23 from 6:30-8:00pm.
This is a free event, so if you've ever wanted to learn more about my visual thinking tools (including the SQVID, the <6><6> Rule, the Visual Codex) please join us at 363 Brannan St. in SF.
Please sign up in advance so Roland and team can figure out how many chairs to steal from Jesse's office.
P.S. You won't need to bring any napkins: I'll provide plenty of my favorite brand.

Hi Dan, time to come to Germany as well!
I have just posted some of your Ideas on my Blog and find your ideas very worth sharing and applying.

(German, but anyway...)
I have just startet a mission statement development process with an organisation - and what can I say. - The Idea of the six Ws in combination with the SQVID-Model is very useful to find the right balance in writing the texts for the different sections of the mission statement. So your ideas do not help for drawing only, they are supportive for better writing as well.

Excellent talk the other night. Thank you. I was in SF for Open World all week and managed to steal away down to Adaptive Path Tuesday to see you. I am glad I did!

Hi, Dan:
We're all excited about hearing your talk. Your book has been making the rounds at Adaptive Path for the past few months, and we're coming with questions, so be prepared.
Looking forward to meeting you tomorrow.

Sounds like a great talk Dan, and congrats on the invite by AP. Would have loved to attend if it were not for the fact that I literally just moved from SF to Chicago this week.
Best of luck! Hopefully someone can record the event and post for the benefit of others!
Cheers
