Hmmm...maybe we can all find some common ground here if we can see the leadership lesson to be learned thanks to Sully AND the Air Traffic Controllers. Clearly, one part composure, one part... team work.

Thanks Tom,

As a pilot myself, I've given much thought to the "what would I have done over the Hudson" question. Given that I have a grand total of 300 flight hours -- and all of that in planes that can barely hold four people -- the experience issue is moot for me: I'd be sunk... along with those three.

My point is this: Obama clearly does not have the equivalent of Sully's 19,000 hours flying the economy. But Paulsen, Bernanke, Greenspan, and Geithner do. (Isn't that what we pay them for?)

Where is the decisiveness and clarity of vision? Sully had never ditched a plane before, but he knew instinctively what it took to recover from two lost engines over Manhattan: wings level, slow speed, tail low.

Why is it so hard for our captain(s) to find a parallel?

Tom, you hit the nail on the head.

I enjoy your drawings as well, and agree with the idea of positive thinking.

However, "Sulley" knew what he was doing, and has vast experience required to land that plane.

Obama on the other hand has no experience - period. He is complaining about lack of republican support that he does not even need.

Many will follow like lemmings, but you can't fool all of the people all of the time.

Dan, your drawings manifest positive thinking and gives hope to those who are in dire situations:)

Dan,

Your're plain brilliant. You draw such amazing sketches - the Heath brothers might say "Drawn to Stick".

As Joel Creekmore, Microsoft's Group Finance Manager had remarked, there is emotional connection with hand-drawn drawing.

I'm desperately looking forward to your "Workbook".

Do plan on visiting India - guess there is huge potential for your work here.

Many thanks!

Hope you forwarded this to Obama!
