Just when you thought health care was over... BUT WAIT, THERE'S MORE! (Now how much would you pay??)
After the success of our first round health care back-of-the-napkins, Dr. Jones and I realized we still had a bit more to say. When we heard that President Obama was going to be speaking to an extraordinary joint session of Congress next week (Wednesday, Sept. 9 at prime time) we took upon ourselves to say it for him.
So here are the index cards we recommend the President take with him when he mounts the stage next week. (Yes, we know he uses a Teleprompter, but we kind of liked the old-school approach. It lends an additional needed air of 'authenticity'.)
You can recite our proposed speech index card-by-index card below (click on each image to enlarge for better readability) or view as a PowerPoint on Slideshare.net.
We'll be watching next week to see if he takes up our talking points. Anyone have a direct line to Jon Favreau?
thx

I came across a new site that has an interesting service called the Geoleader Certificate Program that I thought was relevant to your posting here:

Hello :)
I just came across your blog randomly and I just wanted to say you are quite clever! I really enjoyed your 5 points on health care, you summed it up very well.
I'm a 25 year old Canadian and lately I've been very interested in your whole health care debate. Honestly, as I'm sure you know, everyone up here finds it baffling and sad at how the reform is being received by certain groups of Americans. I just don't understand how they don't understand what a blessing this is!
CBC (Canadian Broadcasting Corporation) last year held a contest of Who is the Greatest Canadian? You want to know who won by public vote? Tommy Douglas, the man that brought nationalized health care to our country. Think about it, the GREATEST CANADIAN to ever live. That's how important our health care is to us. I wouldn't trade it for the world... My friends always say how it'd be great to live in California or New York one day, I always shudder at the thought, solely because I'd be giving up my health care. It really scares me, especially since I have an on-going kidney disorder that right now I don't pay a penny for. I don't even want to think how it'd be handled south of the border.
Anyway sorry for rambling. I just wanted to say that you definitely have your head on your shoulders. I hope people read your stuff, because you make a ton of sense. I wish the best for the U.S. with this whole situation.
Peace out!
